Nomad Vanz Matz | The Seamless Edition
Innovation underfoot.
The original Nomad Vanz Matz were born from a simple frustration: we couldn't find a Sprinter floor mat that matched the calibre of the vans we build. So, we engineered our own. We chose the best textiles on the planet and hand-sewed them in North Vancouver, BC.
But we didn't stop there. This is the next evolution.
The Ultimate Hybrid: From Frontcountry to Overland
Historically, van owners had to choose between two compromises: sterile, hard-plastic industrial utility trays that look like a commercial work truck, or delicate carpet mats that ruin instantly on the trail. The Seamless Edition renders that choice obsolete. It is engineered to replace every other mat on the market by seamlessly bridging the gap between high-end architectural luxury and extreme outdoor utility.
- Frontcountry Elegance: Designed for the premium camper van lifestyle. It provides a sophisticated, comfortable texture underfoot that perfectly complements custom wood and fabric finishes, bringing a modern "living room on wheels" aesthetic to your basecamp.
- Overland Proven: Built to withstand the absolute harshest elements. Whether you are tracking in heavy winter snow and slush, deep trail mud, or fine desert sand, these mats take the abuse without staining, fading, or trapping moisture underneath.
- All-Weather Luxury: It looks like an exclusive indoor textile but handles punishment like an armoured liner. When the adventure gets messy, it cleans up to a flawless factory look in a matter of seconds.
The Seamless Edge: Form Meets Function
Unlike traditional rubber utility trays, basic carpeted alternatives, or standard marine woven vinyl mats that rely on thick cloth bias-tape borders, we've moved beyond the frame. The Seamless Edition features a flush-edge construction that is as technically difficult to produce as it is beautiful to look at.
- Zero Snag: No thick fabric tape to catch your boot, trap grit, or fray over time.
- Minimalist Aesthetic: A clean, architectural transition from mat to van plastics.
- Engineered Durability: A high-precision edge finish that stands up to the heavy friction of rugged outdoor boots.
Curated Textiles: Meteor & Barley
We've selected Chilewich's Link weave for this generation—a commercial-grade textile designed to be hammered by traffic and cleaned in seconds. Woven from TerraStrand™ yarns (20% renewable vegetable content), it's as sustainable as it is rugged.
- Meteor: The "Stealth" profile. A deep, industrial tone designed to disappear into the Sprinter's black OEM plastics for a factory-integrated, high-end look.
- Barley: Warm Minimalism. A sophisticated neutral that bridges the gap between rugged black trim and the custom wood or fabric finishes of your living space.
Engineered for Rugged Use
These mats don’t just look the part—they are built to thrive where the pavement ends. We designed the Seamless Edition to perfectly bridge the gap between a sleek, modern aesthetic and brutal off-road capability. They retain their premium, high-end appearance while taking a beating from mud, sand, and grit.
Locked Down, Not Just Laid Down
A shifting floor mat isn't just annoying; on the trail, it’s a safety liability. To ensure absolute stability, we bypassed flimsy velcro and cheap plastic clips in favour of a true, heavy-duty mechanical connection.
- Factory-Torx Integration: The Matz utilize high-grade mechanical snap-pin hardware that anchors directly into the Sprinter’s OEM factory Torx locations.
- Zero-Shift Security: Once snapped in, they are completely locked in place. Even if you are aggressively modulating the pedals while crawling over rocks or navigating off-camber terrain, your footing remains entirely unchanged.
Refined Foundation
The evolution continues beneath the surface. Our updated backing system ensures the Matz stay exactly where you put them—flat, secure, and perfectly integrated with your Sprinter's factory floor. No shifting. No curling. Just a rock-solid foundation for your next adventure.

Q: Do these floor mats fit vans with aftermarket seat swivels?
A: Yes. Nomad Vanz Matz are compatible with factory seats and low-profile aftermarket swivels like Scopema, as they drop directly into the OEM flooring template.
Q: How do you clean Nomad Vanz Matz?
A: The Chilewich woven face doesn’t absorb water or dirt. Shake them out, sweep, vacuum, or pull them out of the cab and hose them down with mild detergent. After a wet trip, let the face and backing dry fully before reinstalling.
Q: Will the edge fray over time?
A: No. The binding is hand-sewn on the underside, so the top surface is flush. There’s no exposed fabric border to catch boots, collect grit or wear through.
Q: Is this product compatible with an electronic parking brake?
A: This variant is made for the manual parking brake configuration, with the brake cutout and without a factory floor vent. Contact us if you want an electronic parking brake version.
Q: Do these floor mats provide any thermal insulation or sound dampening for the Sprinter cab?
A: Some. The Chilewich Link face and dense thermoplastic polyolefin backing add a cushioned layer over the bare factory floor, so the cab feels warmer underfoot and a little quieter. They’re not a substitute for proper insulation or sound deadening.
Q: Are Nomad Vanz Matz pet-friendly and resistant to dog hair?
A: Yes. Unlike carpeted van mats where dog hair and dirt become embedded in the fibres, the woven vinyl face has a tight, non-porous weave. Pet hair, mud and sand sit on the surface, so you can quickly sweep, vacuum or wipe the mat clean. The waterproof backing also stops pet spills from soaking through to the factory Sprinter floor.
Q: Will ordering these custom mats to the United States incur surprise cross-border import duties?
A: No. Nomad Vanz ships all US orders DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Import duties and customs taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, so your order arrives with no brokerage fees or customs delays.
Q: How do these mats handle heavy winter snow, salt and slush?
A: The woven face doesn’t absorb water, and the waterproof backing stops moisture from soaking through to the factory floor. Snow, road salt and mud sit on the surface without staining or fading, so you can shake the mats out or hose them down. Let them dry fully before reinstalling.
Q: Which Sprinter vans do the Nomad Vanz Matz fit?
A: 2019+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (VS30 / W907), 144" and 170" wheelbases. Check the parking brake and floor vent configuration for your selected variant. If you’re not sure which your van has, send us a photo of your cab floor and we’ll confirm.
Q: How do the Matz stay in place?
A: Snap fasteners click onto the Sprinter’s factory floor anchor points, and the non-slip backing keeps the mat flat. No Velcro, no adhesive, and nothing sliding under the pedals.
Q: Are Nomad Vanz Matz antimicrobial?
A: Yes. The Chilewich Link textile has Microban® antimicrobial protection built into the yarn, which inhibits stain- and odour-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.
Q: What colours are available?
A: Meteor, a deep grey that blends with the Sprinter’s black interior plastics, and Barley, a warm neutral that pairs with wood and fabric finishes.
Q: Where are they made?
A: Every set is hand-sewn at our shop in North Vancouver, BC.
Q: Can I get custom mats for other areas of my van?
A: We’ve made custom mats for living areas and garages in our own builds. Contact us with your layout and measurements and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Q: Can I return my Matz?
A: Matz are made to order and are final sale. If you have questions about fit, contact us before ordering.
Product Reviews
I purchased the custom mats for my Geotrek Flatiron camper van and they are practical and stunning. The seamless construction is perfection! I love them!
We had vinyl weather mats in the van that had a big raised edge. Functional for winter/rain but ugly and a tripping hazard when moving to the rear. Swapped with the Nomad mats which are beautiful and add a nice feature to our van.. Very happy so far.
Second time around we buy this product from NomadVanz. Once again 100% satisfied with the result. Nicely crafted. This new colour (Meteor Gray) matches perfectly. We needed a slight custom modification because our construction is mounted on a Cab and Chassis Sprinter. They accepted without any hesitation and everything fits A1
Thank you John and the team.
Don't know why I took so long to get these for my 2020 Sprinter, but wow what a difference. They look so much better then the stock Sprinter Mats they feel softer on the Feet and are easy to clean. A excellent quality product by Nomad Vanz.
I bought this front set and after installing them we had a set custom made for the center of the van minus the garage. I measured the space and the staff at NV called me to clarify my measurements. Sure enough I was off and they caught it. We love these mats because they add another layer of padding and insulation to our van floor. Our dogs love jumping into the van an not sliding across the floor. They also do good will shedding mud and dog hair. They can come out easy but so far I just sweep and lightly mop them like a floor. Thanks Nomad Vanz!
