Effective Date: July 2, 2026
At Nomad Vanz, we design and engineer our gear to withstand the rigors of the open road and the backcountry. We pride ourselves on exceptional craftsmanship. This Limited Warranty applies strictly to eligible products purchased directly through shop.nomadvanz.com by the original purchaser. This warranty is non-transferable.
1. Warranty for Standard Products (Off-the-Shelf)
For standard, non-custom Nomad Vanz branded products sold directly from our inventory (such as standard apparel, lifestyle gear, or stocked components), we warrant the product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date under normal intended use.
2. Warranty for Custom Made-to-Order Products
Because our custom-fabricated items are uniquely engineered and built to individual vehicle specifications, they carry targeted structural protections:
- Nomad Vanz Custom Hard Goods (Canopy Racks): We warrant our custom-fabricated aluminum rack structures, structural brackets, and welds against defects in materials and manufacturing workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.
- Nomad Vanz Custom Textile Goods (Custom Matz & Shadez): We warrant our custom interior textile products against stitching, heavy binding, or manufacturing material defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.
3. Distributed & Third-Party Products
Products sold on our site but manufactured by third-party brands (including but not limited to suspension systems, seat swivels, water tanks, electronic components, or lighting integrated into your rack configurations) are not covered under this Nomad Vanz warranty. These items are covered exclusively by the warranties provided by their respective manufacturers. We will gladly help point you in the right direction to contact them should an issue arise.
4. What is NOT Covered (Exclusions)
Overland and adventure gear lives a rugged life. Our warranty is designed to protect you against genuine manufacturing defects, not the inevitable wear and tear of backcountry exploration. This warranty does not cover:

Overland and adventure gear lives a rugged life. Our warranty is designed to protect you against genuine manufacturing defects, not the inevitable wear and tear of backcountry exploration. This warranty does not cover:
- Finishes and Coatings: Powder coat, paint, anodized, and bedliner finishes are wear items. We do not warrant coatings against chips, scratches, trail abrasion, UV fading, road salt, or chemical corrosion.
- Overloading: Any structural failure or deformation caused by exceeding the maximum specified dynamic (driving) or static (parked) weight capacities of a product or your vehicle's factory roof rails.
- Improper Installation: Damage or failure caused by faulty self-installation or unapproved third-party shop assembly.
- Abuse and Environmental Factors: Damage resulting from off-road impacts, accidents, low-clearance strikes (low-hanging branches, low garage clearances, bridge strikes), or product modifications made after leaving our North Vancouver facility.
- Incidental Losses: Nomad Vanz is not liable for travel expenses, towing fees, rental vehicle costs, lost time, hotel stays, or trip disruptions resulting from a product issue.
How to File a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect, please do not attempt to modify, weld, or repair it yourself, as doing so may completely void your warranty coverage. Please follow this digital intake process:

- Email Us: Contact our support team at contact@nomadvanz.com with the subject line: "Warranty Claim: [Your Order or Invoice Number]".
- Provide Vehicle Details: Include your full name, vehicle make/model/year, and a clear description of the issue.
- Attach Digital Evidence: Provide clear, well-lit photos or short videos showing the specific point of concern, alongside an overall photo of how the product is mounted to the vehicle.
Our Remedy
Once our engineering team reviews your submission and approves the claim, Nomad Vanz will, at our sole discretion, either repair the item, replace the item, or issue a store credit. For custom components or Canopy Racks requiring remanufacturing, standard fabrication lead times will apply.
